By registering in the PEP, you obtain electronic access to hundreds of case studies and a PEP kit, containing study material or access to the PEP site, which together is valued at over $3,000.
Access to the PEP Web site
Once registered in the PEP, you receive a user code and password to access the PEP Web site (username and password required).
The Web site contains over 400 case studies focused on the competencies required of CPA, CA candidates, as described in the UFE Candidates' Competency Map, as well as several related documents such as the UFE Reports of the last five years.
PEP kit
You also gain access to reference and educational material that will be useful throughout your graduate studies. The Order sends you the information kit once your PEP registration is complete. The kit contains the resources listed below:
Downloadable version of the CICA Handbook
You will have access to the downloadable version of the CICA Handbook. You will no longer be required to pay registration fees to the CA Student Club. You will also receive the Canadian publication CAmagazine and the Order’s online CPA Newsletter.

You will receive an access code to the Professional Engagement Manual (PEM-CA). This document also contains a series of sample financial statements prepared under the accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE), IFRS for public entities and Not-For-Profit Organizations (NFPO) .

Downloadable version of the 2011 Financial Reporting in Canada Under IFRS
An access code will allow you to download the 2011 Financial Reporting in Canada Under IFRS. The nearly 1,500-page second edition provides practical explanations and examples of IFRS applications from a Canadian perspective. Reporting and disclosure issues are explained using several extracts of financial statements of companies that have already adopted IFRSs.

Case study on CD-ROM: Bois de Veine (BVI)
This case study on CD-ROM includes a DVD application developed specifically for the PEP in order to make it easy to prepare this integrative case study. “Bois de Veine (BVI)” provides you the opportunity to perform 13 comprehensive engagements on a specific company (BVI) and is divided into eight parts, each focusing on one specific competency. Of note is that BVI received several prestigious awards from the Association francophone de comptabilité, the Canadian Academic Accounting Association and Alan Blizzard.

Blank CD-ROM to submit your case study to the “Spécial cas” case study writing contest
A brochure and registration form for the Spécial Cas writing contest are inserted in a blank CD you may use to submit your drafted case study. In addition to the cash prizes of $7,500 for the three contests, a participation prize is offered to each student and $100 to each participant of the finalist teams.

PEP Binder
You will receive two binders (2" portfolio and 1" bayonet) in which you may keep the material and engagements performed in the PEP.
