2011-05-24, Discussions on the future of the accounting profession
In light of events currently taking place in the accounting profession at the national level, and given the specificities of the legal and regulatory framework in Quebec, the leaders of the three Quebec accounting orders have agreed, at the invitation of the Office des professions du Québec which is also involved in the process, to jointly reflect on the future of the accounting profession in Quebec. Updates on this matter will be posted on our website.
A national initiative
The leaders of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and CMA Canada announced that they recently entered into discussions on issues common to the accounting profession in Canada as a whole and on the best way to position the profession and the members of both organizations for the future.

2011-05-17, 2011 Soirée FCA - Architects of success honoured
Last Saturday, the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec bestowed its highest honour on 13 of its members who were awarded the prestigious title of Fellow in recognition of their commitment to the profession and remarkable contributions to the community. The Ordre also presented the Outstanding Achievement Award to a most deserving FCA for his stellar achievements and the impact of his work on the profession: Denis Desautels, FCA, Laurentian Bank Chairman.

2011-02-22, Celebrating our new CAs and the Quebec candidates who made the 2010 UFE Honour Roll
Saturday, February 19, was an important day for many new CAs and six candidates for the practice of the profession who attended the Ordre's Permit Presentation ceremony and Welcome Reception at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

2010-12-03, 611 Quebec candidates pass the 2010 Uniform Evaluation
The results of the 2010 Uniform Evaluation (UFE) were released this morning. The Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec is pleased to announce that 611 Quebec candidates passed one of the most challenging examinations in the world. The steadily rising number of successful candidates at the UFE testifies to the growing appeal of the chartered accountant profession among young students. More »
